About

As a Long Island, NY native, I have always been involved in sports (swimming and figure skating). Now as an adult, I am still passionate about being fit but have cultivated a love for food and cooking.  As a registered dietitian (RD) and certified personal trainer I have realized that there is a need to address both due to the increased prevalence of co-morbities which include: diabetes, cardiovascular disease, arthritis, gastrointestinal disorders/allergies/intolerances, and weight loss/maintenance/gain.  It is important to be fit and to eat properly but whoever said the food should be bland or that fitness should be boring?!?

This site offers suggestions for cooking in the form of recipes and meal planning ideas along with educational nutrition facts.  Since nutrition is half of the equation, fitness ideas/programming can also be found on this site.

My background is extensive in both fitness and nutrition.  I am a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Management and Finance with minors in Exercise Science and Business Administration.   Upon graduation I went on to complete a 1500-hour dietetic internship and later sat for the board examination to be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).  During the time of the dietetic internship, at the Sage Graduate School, Master Degree of Science in Applied Nutrition was completed.  Throughout my collegiate career I worked at top fitness centers such as Equinox,Midtown Fitness Club, and The Sports Club/LA on the Upper East Side as a personal trainer with an emphasis on successful weight loss, weight maintenance, and overall improvement of wellness from an aesthetic perspective as well as an overall health internally.

As a Registered Dietitian, I worked within the Capital District of New York, providing up-to-date fitness and nutrition information for The Fort Orange Club, Ciccotti Family Recreation Center, Honest Weight Food Co-op, and American Council of Sports Medicine.  To further develop my expertise as a clinician I moved to Chicago, San Antonio, and San Francisco where I added to my diverse portfolio.  I am now able to offer not just a holistic approach to wellness but a clinically sound perspective and knowledge pulling from my practices with various populations.  I am currently based in Melbourne, Florida and serving the vicinity as well as being able to support clients nationally via various modalities (E-mails, Skype, FaceTime, and much more).

My nutrition expertise lies in weight loss management, cardiovascular disease, nephrology, geriatrics, gastrointestinal disorders, sports nutrition, and diabetes. This site is dedicated to the balance necessary between the love of wellness, food and fitness.  Let me help you achieve your goals!
